Thankfully my trip to Cancun has been changed! I wasn’t quite ready to go.
I just wanted to be the one who made every one of your disappointments feel like a blessing in disguise; the one who fought for you when the rest were against you; the one who made the effort when everybody else made excuses.
I wanted to be all that and more, but you wanted perfect.
You wanted an excuse to run because you were scared you wouldn’t be enough for somebody that was hard to leave.
You wanted something good, but your fears had you trying to control every little detail, that’s what stopped us from building something great.
After a while, a good heart starts realizing it can’t be in love with a quitter. It no longer beats itself up about leaving ‘too soon.’ It learns to accept an ending. It learns the difference between moving forward and walking away.❞

I moved on a long time ago but you can’t consistently bring the past to my doorstep and expect me not to react.
